One man dies after motorcycle crash on Lincolnway West

South Bend Police responded to a crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle Friday around 8:00 p.m.
The crash happened near the intersection of Lincolnway West and Diamond Street in South Bend.
Police say 45-year-old Albert Ostertag was driving eastbound on Lincolnway West when Bates pulled out in front of the motorcycle to make a left turn.
Ostertag was thrown from the motorcycle.
When he turned, Ostertag collided with a Jeep Compass.
Ostertag died at the scene of the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
