One man injured after shooting in Benton Township
BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Benton Township Police Officers were called to Spectrum Lakeland ER around 3 a.m. Saturday morning for a man with non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
During the investigation it was learned that the 34 year old victim was shot at Ravine View Estates in Benton Township during an altercation with the suspect.
The victim had injuries to both hands and the pelvic area.
According to a press release, officers were able to obtain a location of the suspect and he was taken into custody without incident.
The firearm involved was recovered shortly after the suspect was in custody.
The suspect is being held at the Berrien County Jail for assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and felonious assault with no bond.
