One person injured in shooting involving over 70 shots fired

South Bend Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Monday morning that involved over 70 shots fired. One person was injured in the shooting.

Police were called to the area of Broadway and Miami around 2:30 a.m. for reports of multiple shots fired.

When they arrived, they found more than 70 shell cases along the entire 1100 block of Indiana.

Around 5 a.m., police were called to an area hospital for a walk-in gunshot victim. The person had non-life threatening wounds.

Police believe the victim is connected to the shots fired.
