One person killed in four-vehicle crash in Marshall County

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. – A woman was killed after being struck by multiple vehicles Monday evening, the Marshall County Police Department reported.

At 5:14 p.m., officers were dispatched to U.S. 6 and King Road for reports of a multi-vehicle crash.

A semi-truck was traveling east on U.S. 6 approaching King Road when it struck the back of a Ford Focus who was slowed or stopped at the intersection to turn north onto King Road, officials said.

This collision pushed the Focus into oncoming traffic, where it was struck by two more vehicles, reports said.

The driver of the Focus was taken to a local hospital for treatment but later died from her injuries, officials said.

The drivers of the other three vehicles were treated at the scene of the crash, officials reported.

This is an ongoing investigation.
