MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The Penn Township Fire Department reports they responded to a single vehicle accident with entrapment around midnight on March 8 in the area of Kern and Dogwood.

When responders arrived on scene, one patient was found to be trapped inside with unknown injuries. The patient was extricated within 10 minutes from being on scene and was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. The extent of their injuries are unknown at this time.

The intersection was closed for a brief period and was reopened once the vehicle was removed from the scene.
