ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind.—The man found guilty of shooting and killing Benito Bueno outside of Bar Louie in June 2017 has been sentenced to 50 years in prison.

Oscar Orozco was sentenced Friday to 45 years for murder plus five years for a firearm sentencing enhancement. He was charged with Bueno's murder in February.

A jury found Orozco guilty of Bueno’s murder on September 12.

Mishawaka Police were called to the Bar Louie parking lot around 2:40 a.m. on June 11, 2017 regarding a fight between two groups of people.

Upon arrival, officers found Bueno deceased from a gunshot wound.

Witnesses told police that after the bar closed, someone from Orozco’s group began antagonizing someone in Bueno’s group of friends, reports said.

A fight broke out between the two groups, according to the probable cause affidavit.

During the fight, Bueno and a person whose name was redacted began fighting over a gun, reports said.

A witness identified Orozco as the person who fired shots, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Orozco was arrested in Chicago in March.
