MARSHALL COUNTY,Ind.-- The ribbon was cut this afternoon at the new Owen Abbott Memorial Bridge on U.S 31 between 13 and 14 roads in Marshall County.
The bridge will separate the roadway from the railroad crossing, eliminating the need for traffic to stop when the crossing arms are down.
The name of the bridge is remembrance of Owen Abbott a middle school student who died in 2018 when a school bus was struck by a truck at the railroad crossing.
