Palisades Nuclear Power Plant returns to service

The Palisades Nuclear Power Plant returned to service on October 19 after being offline for more than a month. The plant was shut down to refuel and make upgrades, according to a press release issued by the company.

Entergy says it invested $58 million in upgrades and inspections to equipment

The company also invested $63 million in new fuel.

According to the press release, the company also completed safety enhancements required after the 2011 Fukushima accident.

According to the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission's website, the plant was operating at 30 percent on Tuesday.
