Party foul! Dozens of minors cited for underage drinking New Year’s Day

There was plenty to celebrate while bringing in the New Year, but that celebration was cut short for dozens of minors early New Year’s Day.
The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department says 32 minors were found to be consuming alcoholic beverages following reports of a loud house party in the 13000 block of County Road 44.
According to deputies, 11 of the minors were under the age of 18 and were released to their parents.
The remaining individuals were issued tickets for illegal consumption of alcoholic beverages at the scene.
