Plymouth High School students spend MLK Day volunteering

Students at Plymouth Community Schools spent Martin Luther King Jr. Day participating in the National Day of Service.

Members from the high school's Key Club spent the day in the community, honoring the legacy and ideas that King represents.

Students were fanned out all over Plymouth visiting nursing homes and volunteering at the Parks Department and local museums.

“Today was actually supposed to be a day off for Plymouth, long before they knew they had to be at school today,” says Stephanie Wezeman, Plymouth High School English teacher and Key Club organizer.

Students also volunteered at the fire department and the Humane Society.
