Pocketknife confiscated from student on school bus

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Some parents of Meadow's Edge summer school received a letter from the principal regarding a student who allegedly had a knife on the school bus.

According to the letter, on Monday, a student on bus 136 showed a pocket knife to another student on the bus.

The older student reported it to the bus driver and the bus driver confiscated the knife.

Penn-Harris-Madison's Director of Safety and Student Services Mike Seger and Director of Transportation Services Dale Dorsey conducted an investigation into the incident.

They determined the student did not intend to harm anyone.

They informed the parents of the student and the parents will work with administrators to counsel the student.
