Police arrest South Bend liquor store robberies suspect

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Police said they are one step closer to finding the man behind four South Bend liquor store robberies.

Two of the hold-ups happened just last week. Police arrested a person of interest and are questioning him.

The stores include Shamrock Liquors on East Edison and a convenience store on East Colfax Avenue.

Several store clerks told police a man came inside with a gun. They say he demanded cash, Newports, and a cigar.

The Mishawaka Police Department picked the suspect up Saturday night.
