Police identify woman killed in crash near historic cemetery in Osceola

St. Joseph County Police responded to a crash at a historic cemetery near the intersection of Riverview Boulevard and Cedar Road in Osceola early Monday morning.
The crash happened at 2:23 a.m.
Police said the driver of a black Ford Explorer lost control of his vehicle and went off the roadway, struck several trees and landed in a historic cemetery.
The passenger, Heather Zurbuch, 39, of Mishawaka, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a 39 year old male was extricated from the vehicle by EMS.
He is in serious condition but his injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
The St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team (FACT) is investigating.
FACT said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
