KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- A South Whitley Police Officer- resigned from the department and his planned role as a school resource officer for Whitko Schools because of a Facebook post.
The questionable post showed Chad Hill without his pants.
Hill was a South Whitley officer after stepping down from his role as Public Information Officer for the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.
He resigned Tuesday over the now-deleted post.
"We want anyone working with kids, including our new school resource officer, to model appropriate behavior at all times. You expect our school resource officer will be helping to counsel our students throughout the school year, making good and smart choices, and as a result we definitely want to make sure whoever our SRO is, models that behavior at all times as well," said Nick Eccles, Interim Superintendent Whitko Schools.
An employee at Whitko told officials about the post.
