Police release surveillance photos of hotel robbery suspect
South Bend Police continue to search for the man who robbed the DoubleTree Hotel downtown. It happened around 4:15 a.m. Wednesday.
According to a manager at the hotel, the armed man stole cash from behind the front desk.
“Security happened to be in the back, getting coffee for our flight crew, so within that 45 seconds he came and went," said General Manager Jim Winn.

One man was walking along the bridge when the suspect ran right into him.
"He come from this way, and he run this way. He knocked me down. The gate right there wasn’t locked yet. He ran straight. Only way you can get out on this side. You have to go and head to the other side of the ramp there and get out," said Lewis Howard.
No one was injured during the crime, and the manager said employees are fine.
