After a fairly quiet and warm morning, the holiday weekend will end with showers and storms beginning this afternoon. Clouds will continue to gather ahead of the storms. There are already some showers and storms popping up now, but will further develop in the coming hours. Gusty winds and heavy rainfall are the main threats, making localized flooding likely. Storms will push southeast out of our area overnight, and drier and a bit cooler air will settle in on Monday and Tuesday.
The chance for precipitation will return on Wednesday and will last until the weekend. Temperatures will be slightly above average next week but expected to stay consistent in the 80s.
