Potawatomi Zoo announces death of flamingo chick

The Potawatomi Zoo announced its flamingo chick has died in a Facebook post Tuesday morning.

The post says the zookeepers noticed the chick wasn't acting normally on Sunday, so it was taken to the zoo hospital for an examination.

Despite treatment, they were unable to save the chick.

"We are all disappointed and saddened by the loss of our very first flamingo chick and thank you for your continued support," the post said.
