UPDATE: Power restored in Mishawaka

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Around 10:00 a.m. on Saturday there was a reported power outage in the city of Mishawaka.

Everything west and south of downtown Mishawaka is currently without power. Mishawaka Utilities is aware of the outage, but no report as to what caused it.

The Mishawaka Street Department will be placing stop signs at each intersection where the signals are out. The Indiana Department of Transportation was also made aware, so they can have signs placed at their intersections along Lincoln Way West.

A reminder to motorists, treat each intersection with a traffic light that is out like a four way stop.


UPDATE: Around 11 a.m. customers in the area from Ironwood to Logan have been restored. Mishawaka Utilities is still working on the remaining affected areas.

UPDATE: At 11:30 a.m. Mishawaka Utilities reported that power has been restored to all customers.
