Prayer vigil held for Elkhart Youth Center

ELKHART, Ind. — People gathered for a prayer service in Elkhart at the site of the Lifeline Youth Center.

In September, a building next to the center caught fire and spread to the youth center. The fire caused the roof to collapse and destroyed most of the building. Firefighters were able to save the gym.

Since the fire, programs have been going at four different locations. Around 250 kids attend programs each week.

Although the programs are still going, the owners are planning to rebuild soon.

Demolition for the building dedicated to helping Elkhart's youth has been rescheduled.
