NILES, Mich – The Michigan state Fire Marshall is touting the “Push the button” social media campaign on Mother’s Day.
The Push the Button campaign is an effort to reduce fire related deaths
Michigan state fire officials are making a push on Mother’s Day urging people to visit Mother’s, elderly family members and friends to help the effort.
According to Michigan fire officials there were 139 residential fire fatalities in 2018.
Michigan Prevention which is a community risk reduction group is managing a statewide campaign installing smoke alarms and educating homeowners on fire safety.
