Some areas west of US-31 are waking up this morning to patchy, dense fog at the surface. Dewpoints are right around 70F early today and feeling muggy out the door, an indication of how much warm air and moisture is present. Cloudy and quiet conditions start off today with highs in the upper 70s, but rain starts to develop in the afternoon with spotty showers beginning around 2-3 PM and more widespread rain developing right around the evening commute. Expect consistent, heavy rain heading into the overnight period with lighter but still all-encompassing rain for most of Wednesday. By Wednesday night, 2-3" of rain is expected to have fallen with flooding being a concern. Drier and warmer weather awaits Thursday and Friday.
