The cold front sweeps through during the evening commute bringing breezy conditions, gusts up to 40mph, with some heavier downpours and a rumble of thunder or two but nothing severe is expected at this time. The breeze continues into Friday, with some snow likely on Friday, but a rapid 30-degree drop overnight bringing the chance of a flash freeze Friday morning. Slick conditions likely, especially on elevated surfaces. Highs do bounce back to above freezing through the upcoming week, with some chances for precipitation in the middle of the week.
