REAL Services to provide heating assistance for low income homeowners

SOUTH BEND, Ind.--If you are in need help heating your home this winter, starting today low income homeowners can apply for heating assistance.
Last year the average homeowner received $380 from REAL Services, but that could be much lower this winter thanks to proposed funding cuts.
You can apply for assistance at your local REAL Services office. Just make sure to call ahead and schedule an appointment.
NIPSCO also started taking applications today.
