UPDATE: Emergency repairs complete after water main break in St. Joseph, traffic delays still expected

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. -- UPDATE: Officials with the City of St. Joseph announced the water main has been repaired as of 12:05 p.m., Wednesday.

Water service has been restored to previously impacted homes and businesses.

City officials say those impacted should run cold water through their faucets until the water runs clear.

Motorists should still expect traffic delays in the area near the intersection.

ORIGINAL STORY: St. Joseph Public Works is currently making emergency repairs after a water main break on Main Street in downtown St. Joseph.

The repair work has caused a partial road closure at the intersection of Main and Broad Streets

The City of St. Joseph reports some businesses have also been impacted by the break.

No timeline has been released of when repairs will be finished.

City officials also state due to the break, St. Joseph City Hall is closed Wednesday and will reopen Thursday at 8 a.m.
