RIGHT NOW: Crash involving car and semi-truck causes major US 20 Bypass backup

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Police Department reports there's a major traffic jam on the US 20 Bypass following a crash involving a semi-truck and car near the Elm Road exit Monday morning.

Police say the crash occurred in the eastbound lanes.

No injuries have been reported.

Authorities say traffic is backed up to the Bremen Highway exit.

Police are currently working to set up a detour.

Officers say although plows have been clearing snow, roads remain slick and visibility is an issue.

It's recommended to avoid being on the road or use caution if you must.

Police are also reminding drivers to move over for responding emergency vehicles.
