UPDATE: Bittersweet Road reopened following police activity

St. Joseph County Police Department UPDATE: Authorities say Bittersweet Road is now open as of 3:43 p.m. Wednesday.
ORIGINAL STORY: ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Police Department reports Bittersweet Road between Day and Douglas Roads is closed as of 3 p.m. Wednesday for police activity.
SJCPD is serving a search warrant for an outside agency.
Police say they will release more information when and if it becomes available.
In the meantime, motorists are asked to avoid the area.
