RIGHT NOW: Section of Western Avenue closed for water main break

The City of South Bend SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The City of South Bend announced Western Avenue between Illinois and Sample Streets due to a water main break.
Motorists are asked to use the detour route of Sample Street via Mayflower Road and Olive Street during the closure.
The road is expected to reopen by Aug. 24, weather permitting.
