MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The River Valley Church hosted its last day of Second Coat Ministries’ annual Coat Give Away Day on Saturday in Mishawaka.
Volunteers helped distribute over a thousand coats to those in need in the area, which were gathered over the course of the year as donations.
“Second coat is something our church embraces fully we love to take care of people in our community, we love our neighbors, so to be a part of this and to meet so many of them and to send them home with something to keep them warm over the winter is really important to us,” said Kristin Casper, Director of Second Coat Ministries.
This is the sixth consecutive year that Second Coat Ministries has given out coats.
Those who were unable to receive free winter gear can get coats, mittens and scarves on Saturday October 26th, with a time and location on our website.
