SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Resale to the Rescue raised money for local animal rescues during their 'S/NO Ball' Dance Party this evening, with every dollar raised going towards spay and neutering programs, as well as adoption efforts in our area.
The goal of the fundraising is to prevent overpopulation of strays in Michiana, keeping our local animal rescues running smoothly.
"It's so important because of the overpopulation of stray animals in the area this particular event, all of the proceeds go directly to spay and neutering, so it stops overcrowding. It stops overpopulation, and it helps the other rescues in the area with overcrowding of them of their centers," stated Board Member Jessica Bamber.
They also hit a major goal this evening, donating their one millionth dollar to their 'core five', Saint Joe County Humane Society, Pet Refuge, Heartland Small Animal Rescue, Frans Fund, and Meow Mission.
