SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Saint Mary's College is hosting a research symposium all day today for students to showcase their research.
Before the pandemic, this was an annual event, and the college is excited to bring it back.
The symposium will feature poster sessions from students across different departments, including science, nursing, and gender and women's studies.
Seniors will get a chance to show their research and senior, Angela Martinez Camacho, is excited to showcase her research that she has been working on since last summer.
Her research focuses on stressors in the lives of lesbian and bisexual Latina college students.
"What I like about the symposium is that it offers and opportunity for both students and facility to sort of display their research that they’ve been conducting for the past one or two years and I'm passionate about it because I was able to conduct my own research for my senior comprehensive which sort of allows me to graduate from Saint Mary's," said Martinez Camacho.
The day-long event will take place at Saint Mary’s College.
