Sandy Hook survivors return to class Thursday

NEWTOWN, Conn. —  The new year marks a big week and a new beginning for the survivors of the Connecticut school shooting.

Classes will start at a new building not far from Sandy Hook on Thursday.

It has been three weeks since the mass shooting that claimed the lives of 20 students and six adults at the school.

Crews have spent the last few weeks moving and renovating the new building to look more like the building they left in Newtown.

Families will be able to visit the new school on Wednesday during an open house.
