Saturday mail delivery may continue

Saturday mail may continue thanks to the new spending bill passed by congress the third week of March.

The agency still says it needs to cut its six day service.

February, the Postal Service announced plans to cut Saturday mail by August.

That was when the government was running on a temporary spending measure.

Now, a provision in Thursday's approved bill mandates six day postal delivery.

The Postal Service says keeping only package delivery on Saturdays would save it nearly $2 billion dollars.

The Postal Service lost nearly $1.3 billion in the last three months of 2012.
