ST.JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- One Michiana couple said yes to forever in a unique and meaningful location on July 10.
Family and friends attended the small and intimate ceremony where couple, David and Kelly Farmer tied the knot underneath a tree in the back parking lot of Papa Vino's in Mishawaka. It was where they first met three years ago.
“The first date we had was that memory right here because everything just happened and then we just put it all together," David Farmer said. "I told her, I says, it’s the memories that mean the most in life."
It was that memory of their first date back on July 22, 2017, that Kelly Farmer decided she wanted to tie the knot underneath the same tree where they had met for the very first time.
In October last year, David Farmer proposed to Kelly, and their wedding plans, like many during the pandemic, was altered. Still wanting to get married, the couple decided they wanted something more special than a ceremony at the courthouse.
“And that’s the thing I don’t ever want her to forget it, no matter how old I get, I always want to remember this day,” David Farmer said.
