SBPD seeks help in locating suspect in child molestation case

Brandon Pryor

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating 37-year-old Brandon Pryor, a suspect charged in a child molestation case in South Bend.

Police say in May, a teen informed an SBPD School Resource Officer hat she was sexually assaulted before school that day.

The victim said she missed her school bus that morning, so she walked. While walking in the 200 block of N. Olive Street, she said a black SUV had pulled up and the driver, later identified as Pryor, told her to get inside the vehicle.

The victim stated she saw a car seat in the back seat, so she thought it'd be safe to get in.

Once inside the victim asked Pryor to take her to school. The report states Pryor then parked near an abandoned house, where he assaulted the teen.

Pryor is then said to have dropped the teen off near the school.

SBPD and the St. Joseph County Special Victims Unit were able to identify Pryor as the suspect through their investigation.

In late June, the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office charged Pryor with two counts of Child Molesting.

His warrant was initially sealed, but because he's yet to be located, his warrant has been unsealed.

Pryor is described as 6’1”, 205 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, and is considered armed and dangerous.

Pryor has been known to drive several different vehicles.

He was identified as driving a black Chevrolet Tahoe during the May incident but was last seen in a dark-colored BMW SUV with an unknown plate number.

Pryor has ties to South Bend, Chicago, and Indianapolis. He is believed to be in the Chicago area now.

If you see Pryor, do not approach him. Instead, call 9-1-1. Additionally, tips about Pryor’s whereabouts can be shared anonymously through Michiana Crime Stoppers by calling 574-288-STOP or going online. Crime Stoppers does not have caller ID or IP address tracking.
