School provides new options for struggling students in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A new option for struggling students in South Bend is now here thanks to the new Crossing Educational Center.

Forty students are enrolled at the new center.

The school just opened at the KROC Center in South Bend. It is an accredited, faith-based alternative for students who have not been successful in a traditional school environment.

Thanks to a partnership with South Bend community schools, it is tuition free.

"We are really excited about this collaboration that we have happening with the KROC Center and the Crossing as well as South Bend Community School Corporation," said Cheron Merten, KROC activities Manager. "Especially with The Crossing since it's a faith-based organization and we are a faith-based organization."

The Crossing says it is not too late to enroll students for this school year.

If you are interested just stop by the KROC Center on Western Avenue.
