SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Park will still not be open for yet another St. Patrick’s Day, as the East Race Waterway turns green.
Since it initially closed for renovations in 2019 it has gone both overdue and over budget following the pandemic.
Despite the project looking nearly done compared to it’s renderings, a spokesperson for The City of South Bend saying in a statement Monday afternoon,
“Some concrete work remains at Seitz Park before the project can be fully completed. Construction will resume once warmer weather arrives with work expected to be completed by the end of June.”
