LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The Coolspring Volunteer Fire Department reports their crews, along with aid from Pines Fire Department and Michigan City Fire Department, responded to a multi-vehicle fire on I-94 overnight.

Fire officials say a semi-truck hauling a trailer with multiple passenger vehicles became engulfed in flames near mile-marker 36 in the westbound lanes of I-94.

No injuries were reported.

The origin and cause of the fire have yet to be determined.

Westbound lanes of I-94 were shut down for a few hours as tow crews cleaned up debris.
