Senator Donnelly on memorial to honor lost service members

Honoring those who served and who were killed during Operation Desert Storm and Operation Desert Shield.

Wednesday afternoon, ABC 57’s Brian Dorman had a chance to talk with Senator Joe Donnelly.

“Earlier this week, I was with a mom, a Hoosier mom, who lost her son in the Gulf War and I want to make sure their families and all our families around our country can come to Washington, can see the memorial of their son's sacrifice, and to their family member’s and daughter’s sacrifice—their family member who gave everything they had not only to protect our freedom, but to stand up for our allies and our friends," said Donnelly.  

The senator has worked for years to make a memorial in Washington D.C. a reality.
