Starke County face-to-face with severe weather
GOSHEN, Ind. -- A judge ruled to approve a settlement reached between Goshen Health and a patient from a data privacy lawsuit.
Back in 2023, Kaitlyn Lamarr sued Goshen Health, alleging it allowed companies like Google and Meta to get patients private information for advertising purposes. The companies are accused of embedding trackers in the webtools for Goshen Health website.
Under the settlement approved on Dec. 16, all patients who had a portal account and logged in between Jan. 2020 and the end of Dec. 2023, are eligible for a one-year subscription to a data protection software and $25 in cash.
