Deputies asking for help identifying human remains found off SR 13


KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind.— The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday released new information about the discovery of human remains on April 2 near State Road 13.

Since the discovery of the human remains about 300 yards from State Road 13, just south of Old Road 30, investigators have not been able to produce a positive identification.

DNA analysis shows that the remains belong to a man who had black hair and was about 5’5.”

Investigators also released photos of two shirts and a bracelet that were found with the remains.

The first shirt is a blue, size small Vans brand long sleeve shirt. 

A second shirt, a sleeveless Maple Grove black jersey-type shirt, was originally owned by a man who donated it to Goodwill in 2016. 

The sheriff’s office said that additional testing is being conducted but results are delayed due to COVID-19 closures.
