NEWTOWN, Conn. -- Their daughter survived a deadly school shooting but a Connecticut couple is fighting to sue the state for $100 million for damages.
The couple's lawyer says the 6-year-old girl has suffered emotional and psychological trauma from the shooting.
The lawsuit accuses the state of Connecticut of failing to protect the little girl from "foreseeable harm".
Connecticut has immunity against most lawsuits unless permission is granted to the couple to continue in the suit.
