Spotty storms and breezy, Tuesday
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Community School Corporation confirmed to ABC57 News that administrators at Washington and Riley High Schools were made aware of threatening messages circulating Snapchat implying shooting would occur Wednesday.
School officials proceeded to follow safety protocols and notified families of the threats on Tuesday via email.
Officials say the FBI is involved in the ongoing investigation and the threats aren't believed to be credible.
SBCSC officials say the district takes all threats seriously and remains committed to student and staff safety.
Officials also encourage the reporting of any suspicious activity.
