Short season for apple crops

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. -- If you have not been out to pick apples, you better do it soon.
ABC57 stopped by Nye's Apple Barn in St. Joseph on Tuesday and the pickings were slim.
Nye's only harvested about 10 percent of their normal apple crop this year thanks to the spring frost.
In fact, they plan to close up shop a month early.
Nye's is usually open until Thanksgiving but this year they could close by Halloween.
