(CNN)—Passengers on Six Flags’ Firebird roller coaster in Maryland came to a stop at the top of the lift hill around 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, according to park officials.
At about 8 p.m., passengers were escorted from the ride.
The park says the ride will remain closed until further notice.
