Smoke alerts South Bend Firefighters to garage fire

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A fire broke out at an unattached garage tonight in South Bend.
Crews actually saw the smoke from the Michigan Street Fire Station.
They responded to the scene on South Brookfield Street and quickly got the fire under control.
