MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- With county offices, courts, and schools closed Thursday after the heavy snowfall, some residents spent the day enjoying the snow at places like Sunnyside Park, while others got straight to work as plows ran around the clock starting at 3 a.m.
Neighbors in Bourbon told ABC57 it was the most snow the town has seen in years.
The cleanup effort was all hands-on deck in the small town, including Triton Elementary sixth graders who spent their day off bundled up shoveling driveways to earn extra money while helping neighbors who couldn’t clear the snow themselves.
