South Bend housing units to receive free energy assessments

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- This week in South Bend more than 300 public housing units are set to receive free energy assessments.
It's in partnership with energizing Indiana. Assessments will be done to make homes more energy efficient, improve living conditions, and help people save on energy costs.
The effort will eventually include nearly 3,000 South Bend families in public and Section 8 housing.
The assessments will begin Tuesday.
