South Bend man takes deal for his role in a double murder

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A South Bend man too a took a deal for his role in a double murder.


Rakeem White pleaded guilty to assisting a criminal and in exchange, the state dropped a stolen property charge.


White will be sentenced in August. He faces up to six years in prison.


In January, Alejandro Tinoco and Jazmin Conlee were shot and killed inside an Adams Street home over what police say was a drug deal.


The accused gunmen, Jerom Gavin an Charles Moore still have to go to trial. Both were charged with murder and robbery.
