A portion of Western Avenue was shut down Monday afternoon while South Bend Police investigated a shooting.
Police were alerted to the shooting around 2:30 p.m. Monday through a Shot Spotter alert.
The shooting happened in the area of Kenmore and Western Avenue.
Police said they found blood and at least three shell casings in the parking lot of the One Stop Shop convenience store.
Police did not locate a victim at the scene, but a shooting victim was admitted to a local hospital.
The victim has a gunshot to the leg.
Police shut down Western Avenue between Kenmore and Wellington for the investigation.
Road were back open at 5:30 p.m.
Employees at a local One Stop Shop where police say they found blood in the parking lot tell ABC 57 News they didn't hear any gunshots.
The store gave police their surveillance footage.
