SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The South Bend Police Department launched a new online tool this week to help residents report quality-of-life issues that may be impacting their neighborhoods.
If you live in South Bend, it's now a lot easier for you to provide non-emergency information to police.
Instead of having to make a call or walk into the police department, all you have to do is fill out an online form.
These non-emergency complaint forms can be filled out on the computer or smart phone device. The South Bend Police Department says these responses can also be made anonymously.
You can report issues like drug use, illegal weapons, gang related issues, traffic issues or any other issue you believe the police should be informed about.
I spoke to South Bend Police Lieutenant Kyle Dombrowski this week and he wanted to stress this is not a replacement for in-progress emergency calls.
